Monitor non locals: NEIDP

North East India Development Party (NEIDP) has stressed on the importance of monitoring the sharp increase in the crime rate perpetrated by non locals in the State as well as the rise in cases of drug abuse by the youth.
Speaking to media persons in a press meet at Sagolband Tera today, NEIDP president Narengbam Samarjit asked if it is not the right time for the authority concerned to act against the rapid influx of non locals in the State taking into account the rapid rise in crime involving non locals as well as the ever increasing threat to the local indigenous people of the State.
He also stressed on the importance of combating the rise of drug abuse by the youth of the State for ensuring a better society.
He also welcomed all other political parties to come together and take a pledge/stand against the issues plaguing the State.
