PHFCL to execute slew of development projects

Chairman and Managing Director of Panthoibi Group of Companies Thokchom Hemo Singh has conveyed that its constituent company Panthoibi Housing Finance Company Limited (PHFCL) is committing to execute a slew of developmental projects in Manipur and other North East States under "Vision 2025" .
He was addressing a programme held in connection with the presentation of the vision at Imperial Hall, Classic Grande, Chingmeirong today.
Delivering presidential speech, Hemo asserted that "Vision 2025" also envisages making PHFCL a leading company when it comes to offering complete financial and housing solutions in the North East.
He maintained that Panthoibi Group of Companies is planning to execute several projects in the State and other North East States by 2025 .
He disclosed that the projects include increasing the number of subsidy availed under PMAY-CLSS households in the North East, providing startup funds to energetic entrepreneurs and maximum financial solutions to women vendors at IMA Keithel besides setting up of a State of the art housing society in Manipur with the adoption of modern technology and methodology.
Speaking as chief guest, retired Principal of Manipur College, Professor L Sadananda underscored the importance of upholding the moral values in carrying out any activity, saying that the same is also must in the affairs of a company.
He further noted that the society is confronting the negative impacts of value bankruptcy and that value education must be imbibed amongst the students and youth of the State.
Terming education as the panacea of all evils in the society, the retired Professor who is also a member of Senior Citizens for Society, Manipur opined that a good touch of education to the society can bring a wonderful reformation in the society.
Attending the function as a special invitee, chief editor of Impact TV, Yumnam Rupachandra observed that a clear and profound vision with relevant roadmaps is needed for fulfilling a plan or an objective.
Noting that media acts as ears and eyes in a democratic set up, he went on to observe that media must be taken on board in the endeavours of bringing all round development in the society.
Politicians often claimed media as a constituent part of democracy in public platforms.
However, when media pointed out the wrongdoings or mistakes of Government and place uncomfortable questions to them (Government), the former are treated as adversaries, he stated.
He further observed that a symbiotic relationship between Government and organisations should work in tandem with media towards the initiatives of bringing significant progress in the society.
