PNU elects new executives

Senapati, March 10 2024:
Election for the new executives of the Poumai Naga Union (PNU) for the tenure 2024-27 was held at Khabung Karong Baptist Church Community Hall on Saturday.
Notably, RB Panii (Koide) was elected as the president of PNU, Ng Joseph (Laii) as the vice president, Dominic Azuna, (TNK, Senapati) as the general secretary, S Joseph Chao (Shomai) as the secretary finance, KD Prime (Maiba) as the secretary information & publicity and M Sapuni (Zhobumai) as the treasurer respectively.
In his speech, Outgoing president, D Dailord Pao stated that there are numerous difficulties and challenges to be taken up in the near future and urged all to co-operate with the new office bearers.
He also urged the incoming officials to lead the people in the right way under God's guidance.
Newly elected president RB Panii in his speech reaffirmed his dedication for the welfare of the people.
He also appealed to all to join hands together with the new executives for progressive community adding any suggestions for the benefit of the community will be welcomed.
The oath of office was administered by the Chief Election Commission of the PNU.
At the end of the program, Rev RL Tennyson, Pastor, Khabung Karong Baptist Church blessed the newly elected executives.
Former Minister KS Benjamin Banee; Solomon Arow, president, Naga People's Organization, social worker PS Rowland and Th Abraham Thro were present at the gathering.
