The Imphal-Dimapur Tata Winger van passenger service has resumed from Thursday after two days of strike by drivers over assault of one of their colleagues by a ticket counter owner at Dimapur.
The strike ended and the stalemate was resolved after a series of meetings were held among the Dimapur Counters' Association (DCA), All Manipur Inter-State Taxi Workers' Association (AMISTWA) and Imphal-Dimapur Winger Drivers' Union (IDWDU) here.
Tata Winger van driver and Imphal resident Kh Ashok was allegedly manhandled by one Kito who owns a ticket counter along Golaghat road in Dimapur on January 19 .
Following the incident all Winger van drivers resorted to an indefinite strike.
