ICOP on SVEEP continues at Thoubal, Chandel

A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised at Khongjom Standard English School, Khongjom, Thoubal District and Purum Pantha Village Community Hall, Chandel district today.
At Thoubal, the ICOP was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
L Shaktidhar Singh, Administrator of the school presided over the function.
During the interaction programme with future pillars of the Nation, ethical and informed voting, cVIGIL App, Saksham App, toll-free number 1950, EVM and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT), universal adult franchise, voter's registration, houses of the parliament was discussed with a request to spread the message to family and friends.
A quiz competition was also held accompanied with the distribution of mementos and certificates of participation to the participants.
Private registered troupes of CBC, RO, Imphal namely, M/s The Academy for Cultural Resources and Training, Thoubal presented cultural items such as excerpts of Moirang Sai, stick dance, pung cholom, dhol cholom and Thang-Ta demonstrations on the occasion.
At Chandel, the ICOP was organised by CBC, Field Office Chandel, Imphal, Manipur Region.
Jeven Sankhil, Chief, Purum Pantha Village graced the event as chief guest; Th Beshot Lamkang, former village Chief as the functional president and social worker SS Thambal Lamkang as the guest of honour.
The day's event began following a prayer offered by Pastor SK Semi, Purum Pantha Baptist Church.
LV Paul Thamsen, Secretary, LNNK Chandel District and Mathew SK Bengam, Field Officer Chandel, CBC addressed the gathering.
A quiz competition was also conducted and prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners.
Later, a rally was taken out.
