Imphal, April 28: A State level convention on HIV/AIDS was organised by the Manipur Legislators' Forum on HIV/AIDS under the sponsorship of UNAIDS at State Guest House today.

The convention was attended by Chairman of the Manipur Legislators' Forum on HIV/AIDS Dr S Budhichandra as chief guest, project director of MACS Kh Pramodkumar as president and Up-Adhyaksha of Imphal West S Bijenti as guest of honour.

At the convention, Kh Pramodkumar presented a paper on "Changing scenario of HIV/AIDS in Manipur", sub-editor of the Imphal Free Press Dhamen on "Role of the media in response to HIV/AIDS", Dr Dhanabir Laishram on "Rights based approach related with HIV/AIDS prevention programme" and Dr Arambam Lokendro on "Involvement of the community leaders to mitigate HIV/AIDS problem" s resource persons.
