NCUI member meets Amit Shah on Manipur crisis

Imphal, June 15 2023: National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), North East Governing Council member Jina Potsangbam has urged Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah to sanction additional funds for providing relief to the people affected by the protracted violent crisis besieging Manipur.

A meeting of NCUI North East Governing Council was held yesterday at NCUI office, New Delhi where Amit Shah was also present.

Apart from highlighting the protracted crisis and its impacts on the people, Jina urged the Union Home Minister to take up all necessary measures in order to bring peace and normalcy in the State.

Jina said that over 10 houses of Phayeng and Khurkhul were burnt down by Kuki militants and many women who are members of SHGs set up under the NCUI Women Cooperative Education Project have been paralysed by the violence.
