Mao Inter-denominational Churches Fellowship appealed to all the voters fora free and fair election in connection with the 18th Lok Sabha Election for II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency scheduled on April 26 .
A joint press statement issued by Rev A Pfokrelo executive secretary MBCA, K Jonathan president MCRCC, B Nepuni Evangelist, Seventh day Adventist, Adani Joseph president MCA, D Kaikho representative of Christian Church and Adani Kayina representative of Pentecostal church called upon Mao citizens to uphold secularism, protect minority rights, and serve as custodians of the Constitution, recognizing the pivotal role of elected leaders in governance.
Notably, Mao Inter-denominational Churches Fellowship is a religious body committed to principles of truth, justice, equality, and peace with no affiliation to any political party or candidates.
The press release said, 'As the nation commemorates the cornerstone of democracy, the credibility of the electoral process and candidates hinges upon ensuring every citizen's freedom to vote for their chosen leader'.
The body fervently advocates for fair leadership selection and urges all parties and candidates to engage in genuine competition, eschewing any unethical practices.
The body implores every citizen to fulfill their sacred duty of voting conscientiously; guided by prayer and their conscience, steadfast against any forms of coercion or inducement.
