Noney, August 05 2023: A 2-day District Level Training on Intensified Mission Indradhanush IMI - 5.0 (Routine Immunization) for MOs, HCWs & CCHs kicked off today at the Multipurpose Hall, Longmai-3, Noney District Headquarters.

The training programme began with a welcome and keynote address by Dr Jendum Golmei, DIO Noney followed by speech from the resource persons Dr Solomon Kamei, MO i/c, PHC Khoupum and Pouthuidin Kamei, VCCM Noney.

The resource persons spoke on the implementation and commencement of IMI 5.0, recording and reporting, training cascade and review meeting and AEFI.

They highlighted that Intensified Mission Indradhanush IMI - 5.0 is a special routine immunisation programme to target unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children and eligible pregnant mothers who have missed out routine immunization activities.

It also covers high risk areas, low coverage areas through the IMI programme.

A gap in Head count Survey ( HCS), proper micro planning and unavailability of human resource for regular routine immunisation sessions in vacant sub-centres and vaccine hesitancy further pose challenges in improving immunization coverages, the resource person added.
