Altogether seven different vehicles have been vandalised for reportedly defying the bandh called along NH 53 in protest against the State Government's move to acquire agricultural lands for expansion of a power sub-station of 400 KV capacity at Yurembam.
The Yurembam, Patsoi, Taobungkhok Land Protect Committee has been imposing indefinite bandh along Imphal-Jiribam road.
Suspected bandh supporters vandalised five Tata Sumo jeeps and two Tata Magic vans at about 5 am today for reportedly defying the bandh.
Earlier in the course of the bandh, 15 four-wheeler vehicles and six two-wheelers were vandalised on March 27 .
A seven member delegation of the Committee has reportedly handed over memorandum to the President and Prime Minister of India against the Government's move for acquisition of land.
