RIMS MS bears MBBS admission expenses of displaced student

Imphal, August 07 2023:
The MBBS admission expenses at RIMS, Imphal amounting to a sum of Rs 26,000 for Guneshor Laishram, son of L Gopal Singh and Laishram (o) Montessori Devi from Sugnu Pamang Leikai, who secured 7th rank in the State's merit list of National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2023 has been borne by Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal.

Guneshor Laishram and his family are presently living in the Sugnu Relief Camp as their house and belongings were burned down by Kuki militants during the ongoing unrest in the State, said RIMS in a release.
The Voluntary Helping Unit Committee (VHUC) of RIMS, Imphal also assisted and helped them in reaching out to the Medical Superintendent.
The boy and his mother acknowledged the generosity of Prof N Sanjib Singh and expressed their gratitude for helping them at this crucial hour.
