Villages ban entry of outsiders after 6 pm

A public meeting held on Sunday denounced attempt to loot arms from IRB/MR personnel stationed at Yairipok Kakmayai village under Nongpok Sekmai police station on Saturday and also resolved ban entry of outsiders into villages in the area after 6 pm.
The meeting was attended by locals, organisations and meira paibi groups of Phanjakhong, Chandrakhong, Ningel, Kakmayai, Malom, Leirongthel, Ngamukhoang and Leirongthel Pitra villages with senior citizen Irom Tombi, Wangkhem Zilla Parishad nominee member Kh Sobha and Leirongthel Ningel Gram Panchayat nominee pradhan S Kumar as presidium members.
During the meeting, representatives of various villages condemned the attempt made by some to loot arms of state forces protecting Kakmayai village around 2:30 pm on Saturday.
Calling the incident unfortunate, they said that such action will disturb peace in Kakmayai and surrounding villages.
The speakers also appealed to allindividuals and organisations to not to repeat such action, while also urging authorities concerned to station state forces at the said villages.
The meet also resolved that no more attempts should be made to loot arms from state forces, no outsiders will be allowed to enter the said villages without permission after 6 pm and that district administration should continue io deploy state forces in the villages.
