Daily TPR rises to 1.9 pc with 7 new cases

Imphal, April 07 2022:
The daily Covid-19 positivity rate (TPR) rose to 1.9 per cent from yesterday's 1 per cent as seven persons were confirmed positive out of 364 samples tested for the virus during the last 24 hours.
The positive cases are residents of Imphal East (1), Imphal West (4) and Thoubal (2), according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
Meanwhile, five Covid-19 positive persons were discharged from home isolation (1) and Covid Care Facility (4) during the last 24 hours following recovery.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State now stands at 1,37,143 (general population 1,32,129 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes 46 active cases from general population and 1,34,977 recovered cases (general population 1,29,970 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
Whereas the death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 113 D-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health care facilities of the State yesterday.
Out of the total 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS, only one each is occupied at present.
Taking into account 1815 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,98,794 (first dose 15,45,907, second dose 11,85,796 and precautionary dose 67,091) .
Till Wednesday, 50.65 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.57 per cent has received the first dose.
