Govt urged to find missing students

Imphal, November 10 2023:
Calling upon the State Government to trace the whereabouts of the two missing boys, Maibam Avinash and Ningthoujam Anthony, the Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak Panthoibi Meira Marup staged a sit-in protest at Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak today.
The protestors held placards with messages such as 'We condemn the abduction of two students', 'Trace the location of Avinash and Anthony' and 'Release the teenage boys unharmed' among others.
Speaking in this connection, O Sumati, president, Keishamthong Thangjam Leirak Panthoibi Meira Marup strongly condemned the abduction of the two boys who have been missing since November 5 .
Urging both the Central and State Government to take substantive measures to find them, O Sumati also called for an end to the ongoing conflict.
In addition, she appealed for the boys to be returned to their families and called against inflicting such atrocities on young students in the future.
