CBI advised not to harass innocent people

Imphal, November 30 2023: Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai Nupi Lup has appealed to the team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) which is investigating the murder of a woman by unknown person(s) at Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi Mamang Leikai on July 6, to stop disturbing and harassing the innocent people of the locality.

In a press meet held at Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai on Thursday, Lup president Thongam Kombirei stated that none of the locals in the area witnessed the shooting-killing.

As such, she urged the team not to continue interrogating the innocent locate and disturb their life.

She further said that the actions of the CBI team have caused hysteria amongst the people who are already suffering due to the current conflict.

Instead, the agency should focus on tracing the whereabouts of the students and innocent people who have been abducted by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists, she suggested.
