Medical camp held, aid extended

As a part of its civic action programme, 10th BSF battalion organised a free medical camp at the relief camp set up at Khoyol Keithel Moirang Lamkhai.
More than 200 people including inmates of the relief camp and people from nearby areas attended the camp.
In Thoubal district, National AYUSH Mission Manipur, Directorate of AYUSH, Lamphelpat; Sophia English School and United People's Front (UPF) jointly organised one day free medical camp at the school's premises at Thoubal Wangmataba on Wednesday.
During the camp, AYUSH deputy director Dr Nandan Atom and apprentice Dr Bidyarani imparted awareness on the medical care being provided under AYUSH and also about benefits of yoga to the students.
Health check-up of around 230 students was also conducted and medicines provided to the needy.
Meanwhile, Peace and Relief Committee, Thoubal Khekman extended a sum of Rs 10,000 each to Loitongbam Kishan of Yairipok Angtha Mamang Leikai and Mayanglambam Johnson of Porompat Top Khongnangkhong who sustained injuries during protest demanding justice to the two students Hijam Linthoingambi and Phijam Hemanjit.
On the other hand, Writers of Manipur and Sagolband Assembly Constituency Progressive Committee under the supervision MLA Rk Imo provided winter clothes to the relief camp set up at New Keithelmanbi Wisdom Playground.
