Manipuri runners bag top awards in Hornbill Marathon

Manipuri runners bagged titles in both men's and women's competitions of the 3rd Hornbill Half Marathon and Great Hornbill Run 2013 in Kohima today.
Th Sajit who represented Shillong in the run bagged first position in men's category while Sagolsem Premi Devi Manipur topped in the women's category.
Interestingly Ramjan Singh of Meghalaya and another Manipuri M Samananda who also represented Shillong were adjudged as second and third position holders while Nagaland's Thungdi bagged the fourth position.
Linukchungla of Nagaland and Wahida also from Manipur occupied the second and third positions in women's half marathon run while Lungsuhei Nhai got the fourth position.
The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs.50000/-, Rs.30000/-, Rs.20000 and Rs.10000 respectively.
The Awards were announced by Secretary of Nagaland Sports Event Management, Dzuvinguzo while Managing Director 3E, Elvis gave away the prizes to the winners.
In the boys category-Keneisao, R, GHSS,Pongi, GMS Mokokchung, Bam Bahadur, GHSS Jalukie and Khekuto, Charity School were named first, second, third and fourth position holders while Khrieno Taso, GHS Zunheboto, Peilheiteile, GHS Peren, Pelevonuo ,GHSS Dimapur and Masinbui, GMS Meriema were pronounced as first, second and third position holders in the girl's category.
Earlier, the run as flagged off by the Nagaland Athletic officials from New Secretariat junction.
The event was organised by 3E Nagaland.
