BSF celebrates

Joined by family members and retired personnel, the SHQ BSF CI (Ops) Manipur and 49 Bn BSF today celebrated the 48th raising day of Border Security force.
Presentation of cultural items such as Maibi Jagoi, Khamba-Thoibi Jagoi (dance), Thang Chainaba (indigenous martial art) and Bihu dance were the highlight of the celebration.
Speaking at the occasion, DIG SHQ BSF CI (ops) stressed on maintaining high discipline in the Force with good relationship with the public.
Stating that BSF was raised on this day in 1965 as a premier border guarding force of India, the DIG affirmed that BSF not only performs duty with devotion towards the Nation but also endeavours in sustaining spirit of brotherhood with the local populace.
