State Ranji Trophy team to leave Imphal today

Imphal, February 09 2022:
State Ranji Trophy team (plate group) will be leaving Imphal tomorrow for the tourney venue Kolkata.
The tourney will begin from February 17 after Covid third wave forced to defer the event which was set to open on January 13 .
The State team have also been rearranged by adding new 5 players in place of 5 players who tested Covid positive recently.
As per the latest notification from the Manipur Cricket Association, Narsingh Yadav (CYCLONE) will be leading the team as captain and Bishorjit Singh Konthoujam (PTRC) will be the vice captain.
The other players in the State squad are Nitesh Sedai (CHAMP), Meitankeishang-bam Langlonyamba (Model Club), Ngariyanbam Johnson (PTRC), Bonny Chingang-bam (CHAMP), Wakambam Samson (BLUE HAWK), Muhammed Al Bashid (Al-Ameen), Kangabam Priyojit Singh (TRAU), Raj Kumar Rex (PTRC), Thokchom Kishan Singh (RUL), Yumnam Sheiteendra (KCC), L Kishan Singha (CYCLONE), Lamabam Ajay Singh (CRAU), Thomas Singh Moirangthem (CHAMP), Md Sultan Karim (CHAMP), Pukhrambam Prafullomani (TRAU), Thokchom Santosh Singh (PCC), Khangembam Bimol (CRAU) and Gotimayum Mangi Sharma (WYC) .
The last five players were newly added to the squad in place of Yumnam Karnajit Singh (Model Club), Chabungbam Ishworjit (RUL), Sagatpam Jayanta, Longjam Ronald (CYCLONE) and Kabrambam Homendro (CYCLONE) who made it to the previous list but had to isolate after their RT-PCR test for Covid on February 8 returned positive.
Manipur will play Arunachal Pradesh in the first match from February 17 before taking on Mizoram from February 24 and Sikkim from March 3 .
