Adventure camp concludes

Imphal, May 30 2014 :
A 4-day long Summer Adventure Camp for children of Red Shield Division held from May 27 at Manipur Mountaineering Institute, Lamdan concluded today.
In all 24 girls and 13 boys participated in the camp which was initiated by the 7 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Manipur Mountaineering & Trekking Association.
Khuripao Maringmei, Chief of Lamdan Village and Dr..LSurjit Singh, President of MMTA shared the dies as Chief Guest and President respectively of the graduation function held in MMI Lamdan today.
Meanwhile, Waribam James, a member of the successful 1st North East India on Top of the World (Mt.
Everest) Expedition 2013 declared a charity for an amount of Rs.10,000 the bereaved family of the Mount Everest avalanche tragedy, 2014 that claimed 16 precious Sherpas life.
The amount will be transferred through the MMTA to the family.
