Mother claims UG-son killed, buried

Close on the heels of the discovery of corpses of two URF cadres who were murdered and buried in-side their designated camp in Loitang Khunou Spinning Mill, one cadre of KCP-MC (Nongdrenkhomba) was re-ported to have been killed and buried.
Incidentally KCP-MC (Nongdrenkhomba) is under process of initiating peace talk after signing a tripartite MoU with the Centre and the State Government.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club this afternoon, Laiphrakpam (O) Memcha of Langthabal Phura Makhong Chingya said that her son L Gophen alias Ro-shan (35) was killed and buried by cadres of KCP-MC (Nongdrenkhomba) at Mata Lambulane, Churachandpur on January 4 this year.
According to the mother, they received information about the killing and burial only on May 2 .

A team of Imphal West co-mmandos pulled up one cadre of KCP-MC (Nongdren khomba) identified as Wa-hengbam Thoi alias John of Wabagai Terapishak on May 2.From the disclosure of Thoi alias John, it was learnt that Gophen alias Roshan was killed and buried.
A corpse totally reduced to skeleton was discovered by Churachandpur Police on May 5 from Mata Lambulane.
Police then sent the skeleton to forensic science laboratory for investigation.
As of now, it has not been confirmed that the skeleton was of Roshan.
On May 3, the family filed a report at Singjamei police station to trace Gophen alias Roshan.
He joined PLA about six years back and was lodged in Sajiwa Jail after arrest by police.
After his release, Gophen was at home till December last year.
He was coaxed by cadres of KCP-MC (Nongdrenkhomba) to join the gathering where the tripartite MoU was signed.
After he went to the camp of the outfit, all communications were snapped, Memcha said.
At first, cadres of KCP-MC (Nongdrenkhomba) were with 46 Assam Rifles posted at Churachandpur.
They have now shifted to Kumbi Khunou.
Meanwhile, in accordance to religious customs and traditions, Gophen's body replicated by pangong was cremated today.
Young Union Club, Langthabal Phura Makhong president Angom Open Meitei appealed to authorities concerned to find out the facts and circumstances under which Gophen was killed within seven days.
The Government should be held accountable for the forced disappearance of a cadre staying in the designated camp of the group which has already signed an MoU with the Government, he said.
