MAA appeals for incentives to archers

Manipur Archery Association (MAA) has drawn the attention of the authority of sports department, government of Manipur to extend incentive awards to archers who have won medals in the World Cup Archery and Asian Grand Prix as in the case of players in other disciplines.
In a statement, Dr G A Ibopishak Sharma, Secretary of MAA pointed out that P Lily Chanu won bronze medal in Compound Division for team event in the 1st Stage World Cup held at Shanghai, China-2013; Kh Ratan Singh fetched a bronze for team event in Compound (Men) in 3rd Stage World Cup held at Medellin, Colombia from 13-22 July, 2013; Laishramm Bombayla Devi won gold medal in 3rd Stage World Cp for team event held at Medellin from 13-22, 2013 and Sh Ramakanta Sharma collected a gold medal for the country in Compound Division for team event in the 2nd Asian Archery Grand Prix held at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 26th July to 2nd August, 2013 .
P Lily Chanu (Compound Women); Kh Ratan Singh (Compound Men); L Bombayla Devi (Recurve Women) and W Ranjan Singh coach would also participate in the 4th Stage World Cup Archery to be held at Wroclaw, Poland from August 17-26 .
