Chaos and mob mar 7th MSL matches

Imphal, October 07 2012:
Following the issuance of red cards to three players, players revolted against the conducting referee and tried to beat him in a match today at the ongoing 7th Manipur State League organised by Al Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
The match was played between SSU, Singjamei and JSYC, Sadar Hills.

When the referee awarded a red card to Mangkhohao Haokip of JSYC in the 56th minute, the later tried to punch him.
However timely intervention of organisers and police commandos prevented the situation from taking an ugly turn.
However, the situation rose again in the 90th minute when the referee issued one red card each to SSU's Imran Khan and JSYC's Poukhomang Hangshing for playing fouls.
While police were trying to control the situation in the field, fans of both teams who were watching the match began a tussle among themselves in the gallery.
It took sometime to control the situation.
Later the match was continued and ended with SSU winning the match 4-2 .
Earlier in the first match, KSC beat ESU 4-1 .
