PULF (Kazi Umar) disbanded

PULF faction led by Kazi Umar has been disbanded after its 16 activists including women surrendered to the State during a 'home-coming ceremony' held at Hqs IG AR (S), Mantripukhri on September 26 .
Notably, 114 cadres of different UG groups surrendered before the Chief Minister during the 'home-coming ceremony' though none of the names and details of the surrendered cadres were divulged.
After working as a leader of PULF for 18 years, Tayeb Ali alias Tabe alias Kazi Umar came back home at Kwakta Khuman today following his formal surrender on September 26 .
Kazi Umar, father of a son and five daughters born to two wives, was accorded a warm reception at Kwakta Khuman Primary School today.
The function was attended by former PULF leader MA Jabbar alias Belan Khan, Maj Ghosh of 5/9 GR and other dignitaries of the locality as presidium members.

Speaking at the occasion, Kazi Umar not only confessed that he had gone on the wrong path but also sought forgiveness for all the wrongs he had done during his days as a PULF leader.
Belan Khan, taking serious note of the incidents of killing former UG cadres after they had surrendered to the State, sought protection from the State as well as security forces.
At this, Maj Ghosh assured that full protection would be given to all UG cadres who had returned to the mainstream.
Later, speaking to media persons, Kazi Umar declared that the PULF faction led by him has been disbanded from today.
Saying that he and 15 other activists of his outfit were present at the 'home-coming ceremony' held on September 26, Kazi Umar maintained that the remaining cadres would follow suit very soon.
Commenting on the reports of killing former UG cadres, Kazi Umar said that any UG cadre who had given up arms should lead a civilian life and not involve themselves in any unlawful activities.
