Imphal, October 07 2012:
With internal differences brewing up among the state leaders of National Congress Party (NCP) for quite some time now, party MLA Laishom Ibomcha, who is also the new President of NCP State Unit, has once again blamed Radhabinod Koijam of trying to abolish the party not only in the state but also at the centre.
Addressing media persons at the head office of the party at Thouda Bhabok Leikai here today, Ibomcha said that Radhabinod Koijam, who has not only been the Chief Minister of the state but also the President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee, has come down to playing 'pocket-size politics' in the state.
"We have never heard of Radhabinod as being the President of NCP, Manipur Unit, so far.
He may, however, be the President of NCP, Thjangmeiband, Unit", Ibomcha mocked, and reiterated that he has been appointed as the party President of the State Unit not through any lobbying tactics but with the decent approval of the party's high command.
Ibomcha also charged Radhabinod with defying the constitution of the party over its Presidential election by giving no public notification through media and conducting it only on the table, and claiming himself as the party President.
However, the state unit which was formed fraudulently under the leadership of Radhabinod has been dissolved by the party's high command and the relevant documents signed by TP Peethambaram Master, General Secretary of NCP sent to him.
Ibomcha further observed that bringing out the expenditures incurred on the candidates of NCP in the state after the general elections is nothing but an attempt to abolish the party not only in the state but also at the centre.
