Senapati, September 01 2019: The 14th edition of the Senapati District Badminton Association (SDBA) Championship which began on August 29 concluded yesterday at Multi-Purpose Indoor Hall, Rikhumai Taphou, Senapati.

The valedictory programme was graced by MAHUD Minister, Th Shyamkumar as chief guest and Senapati SP , M Pradip Singh, who is also the secretary of the association, as the guest of honour in the presence of different students and social leaders of the district headquarters.

Speaking at the event, Shyamkumar said that every ethnic tribe in the State must promote the idea of oneness to make the State peaceful and prosperous.

The Minister also appealed all concerned to properly utilise the fund allocated for the development of the hills areas and a State as a whole.

In the category of Beginners Single, Peter secured the top position while Filler finished second and in Beginners Doubles event, an alliance of Filler & Peter clinched the gold by beating the pair of Nitu & Sebastian in the final match.

Pfoki walked away with the top prize in the U-11 Boys Single by defeating Topson while a pair of Topson & Kendibou fetched the gold medal in U-11 Boys Doubless overcoming the pair of Aveisou & Pfoki.
