Observance of 'Irabot Month' begins at Jiribam, Oinam

Led by Dr Chandam Kamal Singh, Lifetime President of Jana Neta Irawat Memorial Trust (JIMET), Jiribam, floral tributes were paid to lifesize statue of Irabot at Irabot complex, Babupara to mark the beginning of Irabot month today.
The public also honour the late leader by lighting candles around the statue as a part of the beginning of the 'Irabot Month'.
It may mentioned that JIMET has been observing 'Irabot Month' in September since many years and in connection to it, different programmes will be conducted in different parts of Jiribam including awareness programme on the life of the late leader in different schools, March Past competition and cultural programme.

Bishnupur: Meanwhile, a simple function was held at Shanti Bazaar, Leimaram in Oinam AC to pay floral tributes to the statue of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot to celebrate his birth anniversary month and to mark the beginning of the 'Irabot Memorial Month' today.
Lamyanba Irabot Ningshing Pangba Kanglup, a joint body formed by many like-minded organizations who believe in the vision of Lamyanba Irabot including Socialist Student's Union of Manipur (SSUM), POFAM, All Meitei Pangal Students Union Manipur (AMSUM), Socialist Women Association of Manipur (SWAM) and Young Communist League (YCL) in association with Leimaram Yaipha Lamjing Lup and Irabot Celebration Committe jointly organized the simple function to pay respect and floral tributes to the statue of Irabot to mark the beginning of 'Irabot Month' .
Regarding the function, organizing member L Pahari Singh said that today's function is to launch the observance of 'Irabot Memorial Month' which has been observed every year to commemorate the vision and wisdom of late leader adding that it is observed to highlight the aspiration of the late leader of equal society specially to the youth to instill the spirit of patriotism, nationalism and respect for all.
The function was also attended by Keinou ZP member L Samananda Singh and members of Leimaram Yaipha Lamjing Lup and Lamyanba Irabaot Ningshing Pangba Kanglup.
