Elector verification programme launched at Bishnupur, Senapati

To improve the health of electoral rolls and augment enrolment of all eligible citizens, Neeta Arambam DC Bishnupur, launched Elector Verification Programme (EVP) & "Mega Million" today at Conference Hall, Mini-Secretariat Campus, Bishnupur.
The event was organized by District Election Officer, Bishnupur.
The DC also launched Election Verification Facilitation Centre at District level and Electoral Registration offices in the event.
Similar launching programmes were also held at ERO offices of the district.
The District Administration also felicitated district icon Hemchand Haobijam, sumang leela artist and 2 campus ambassadors each from the six ACs of the district during the event.

Relaying the message from Election Commission of India (ECI), the DC stated that voters can verify themselves with an additional document, rectify errors in their particulars, change their old/black and white photograph to coloured one, remove multiple entries of their names and link the family living together to one polling station within the 45 days exercise.
She urged the voters to cooperate with the verification process and extend support to the government officials on duty.
Laishram Priyadashini, SP, Bishnupur, DLOs and staffs also attended the event.
Senapati: The District Election Office, Senapati has launched Electors Verification Programme (EVP) in connection with the Special Summary Revision (SSR), 2010 at Conference Hall, DC Office, Senapati today.
Subsequently, the programme was also launched at DEO Office, ERO Offices and all polling stations of the district.
The programme was launched as according to an instruction from the Election Commission of India and CEO, Manipur to do the same on this day.
PP Ronald (MCS), SDO/BDO Tadubi said that an elector can bring any of their Indian passport or driving license or Aadhar card or identity card of Govt/Semi-Govt officials or bank passbook for verification or authentication to self verify their particulars and the particulars of their family members in the Electoral Roll via Voter Helpline Mobile app or NSVP portal (www.nsvp.in) or through Common Service Centres (CSCs) available at different places of the district or Voter Facilitation Centre at ERO office while the persons with disabilities may call Voter Helpline 1950 to seek facilitation.
Kh Lalmani Singh, MCS, Addl DEO/ADC, Senapati in his speech said that the revision was taken to find out any elector if their particulars are correct within the 45 days exercise that would continue till October 15.With more than 1,55,000 voters from 3 different Assembly constituencies of 47-Karong, 48-Mao and 49-Tadubi, the BLOs may not able to enter into every door to verify their electoral roll, he added and asks the electors to verify their names and particulars compulsory through internet at the above mentioned website.
The ADC also mentioned that BLOs will soon start going for door to door verification.
