The four tribe councils then appealed everyone "not to work in the interests of few individuals or groups" but to extend co-operation to the officer in the interest of the general public of Tamenglong district.
According to the four tribe councils of Liangmai, Inpui, Zeme and Rongmei, "Armstrong Pame changed the face of Tamenglong district by bringing development" during the officer's short stint as the deputy commissioner of the district earlier.
The four tribe councils also said the IAS officer had initiated many "developmental activities".
