Preliminary round for 8th State Level Spelling Competition held

Imphal, September 01 2019:
The preliminary round for the 8th State Level Spelling Competition for school students was held at Johnstone Higher Secondary School, Imphal today.
A total of 1,216 took part in the competition held in two categories- Class V to VII and Class VIII to X, organised by Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) .

20 students 10 from each category were selected for the final round which will be held on September 15 at Manipur Institute of Management Studies (MIMS) Hall, Manipur University, Canchipur.
First, second and third position holders in each category will be awarded cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively with citations and mementos.
Remaining participants will be awarded consolations prizes, said SUK, general secretary N Rojesh Singh.
