YWC thump PTCC, RULE beat MPSC in Superplate Tournament

Imphal, March 13 2022:
YWC (Langthabal) thumped PTCC (Patsoi) by 6 wickets as RULE (Molom) defeated MPSC (Manipur Central Jail) by 3 wickets in Sunday's fixtures of the 1st MNCA Superplate Tournament.
YWC dismissed PTCC for 107 in 33.1 overs and then chased down their target in 28.3 overs with 6 wickets to spare at Model Hr Sec & Oriental College Ground.
Seram Robinson spearheaded the run chase, finishing with an unbeaten 42 as Ngangbam Biikramjit made 20 and Ngangbam Bingson contributed 11.Earlier, PTCC's batting order was rattled by YWC's disciplined bowling performance that saw Laishram Dinachandra and Nganbam Bishwash pick 2 wickets each and Seram Robinson, Leishangthem Bishorjit, Maibam Subash and Soubam Robinson took one each to pave the way for their side's massive victory.
Hijam Hemaclhandra (33), Sohail Akram (13) and Dominic (13) were the only batters who got into double digits for PTCC.
YWC closed out the match with 111/4, eclipsing PTCC's total in 28.3 overs.
Deepak bowled 8 overs to take 3 wickets and Naorem Victor Meitei bagged 1 in a losing cause.
Seram Robinson was adjudged as the man of the match.
At Langthabal Public Ground, RULE took down MPSC by 3 wickets.
Put in to bat, MPSC saw themselves being reduced to 104 in 35.2 overs, succumbing to a brilliant bowling display by RULE.
Sagolsem Sunil top-scored for MPSC with 37, followed by Laishram Kiingson (19) and Kesiham Kennedy (18).It was the duo of Thokchom Kishan and Nongthombam Sarojkumar who wreaked havoc on MPSC's batting lineup, equally sharing 6 wickets between them.
On the other hand, Jay Hourakcham claimed 2 scalps and Nongthombam Denin and Sanjenbam Ananda accounted for a wicket apiece.
RULE followed up their superb bowling show with the bat as they completed their run chase in 35.2 overs with the help of Jay Hourakcham (49) and Rajkumar Herachandra (24).Jay Hourakcham walked away with the man-of-the-match trophy.
