WAKO India National Kickboxing C'ship: Manipur amass 16 medals including 10 gold

Imphal, December 29 2021: Manipur team have amassed as many as 16 medals including 10 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals on Day 3 of the WAKO India National Kick Boxing Championship-2021 being underway at Pune, Maharashtra since December 27 .

The athletes who won gold medals for Manipur today are L Rabina in the girls' light kick event for 13-15 years, Kh Lawrence in the boys' light contact event for 10-12 years, Syed Ruksana in the junior girls' 56 kg low kick event, Kh Dollylex in the senior girls' 56 kg light kick event, N Robash in the boys 24 kg point fight event for 7-9 yrs category, W Wangthoi in the 10-12 yrs boys' 42 kg light contact, I Nirvedrisa in the senior girls' 52 kg low kick event, L Tomthinganbi in the senior girls' 48 kg K-1 event, S Puinikanta in the 13-15 yrs boys musical form and S Julia in the senior girls musical form event.

Meanwhile, Th Amarjit (10-12 yr boys' 32 kg point fighting), Nikky Maibam (13-15 yrs girls' 42 kg light kick) and L Dinesh (senior boys' 51 kg full contact) won silver medals as T Christina Devi (10-12 years girls 32 kg point fighting event), N Prabina (10-12 yr girls' 37 kg light contact) and N Neeraj (13-15 yrs boys 57 kg point fighting) settled for bronze medal in their respectively events.
