Manipur thumped Uttarakhand 9-0 in their Cluster VI match on Monday.
As the scoreline suggets Uttarakhand were never really in the game and Manipur were running the show from start to finish, although they did take 33 minutes to score their first goal when Bisheshwor Singh rifled in a 30-yard screamer.
12 minutes later it was 2-0 as Bijen Singh scored with another long ranger.
Moments later it became 3-0 to the Manipuris when Reisangmi Vashum found himself unmarked in the Uttarakhand penalty area and made no mistake.
Subash Singh made it 4-0 to Manipur just before the hour mark and four minutes later Reisangmi Vashum scored his side's fifth goal of the match; it was also his second goal.
Bisheshwor Singh scored his own second goal of the match to make it 6-0 in the 73rd minute and four minutes later Subash Singh scored his brace.
Vashum, though, went on step ahead and completed his hat-trick in the 89th minute and moments later Joychandra Singh scored his side's ninth of the match to complete a 9-0 victory for Manipur.
Maharashtra 3-0 Uttar Pradesh (Cluster II) Venue: Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore.
Maharashtra defeated Uttar Pradesh in a Cluster II match on Monday.
Maharashtra were on top of UP right from the start and took the lead on the half-hour mark when their defender Anas M Edethodika headed home.
Maharashtra scored twice in the second 45 points to secure all three points from this match.
Alex Ambrose made it 2-0 in the 55th minute and then in injury time of the match Zahio A Ansari added insult to UP's injuries when he rounded off a comprehensive 3-0 win for Maharashtra.
Goa 1-0 Jharkhand (Cluster IV) Venue: St Josheph College Ground, Tiruchirappalli.
Goa defeated Jharkhand 1-0 in a Cluster IV match on Monday.
Goa started the match the better of the two sides and showed some fancy football but they didn't manage to break down Jharkhand's defence.
On the contrary, it was Jharkhand who had the best chance of the first half but Goa custodian Felix D'Souza was up to the challenge.
In the second half, though, Goa raised their game and created a number of chances but failed to take much advantage of those.
They eventually scored in the 82nd minute of the match when a Nicholas Rodriguez cross was directed home by Fredy Mascrenhas.
That single goal was enough to see Goa start their Santosh Trophy campaign with a victory.
Haryana 6-0 Gujarat (Cluster VII) Venue: J.N.Stadium, Chennai.
Haryana triumphed 6-0 over Gujarat in a Cluster VII clash on Monday.
It was an entertaining match that had lots of goals.
Haryana went ahead in the 17th minute through Vivek Singh Kaira.
It was 1-0 at the break and after the breather Haryana started to make their advantage count.
They doubled their lead five minutes into the second half through Jaswant Singh Parmar and then Sunil Kumar Sharma scored twice in five minutes to make it 4-0 to Haryana.
It was all over by the time but Haryana still had the hunger to score two more goals as Pawan Kumar scored in the 71st minute and then in the 73rd minute to complete a 6-0 rout of Gujarat.
