Police has registered a case in connection with missing of a pregnant woman allegedly after her husband eloped another woman and family fixed date for performing marriage ceremony.
The incident happened at Moirang Kumabam Leikai under Moirang police station and the missing six month pregnant housewife was identified as Laishram Ningol Moirangthem ongbi Sunita alias Rameshwori.
She is the daughter of late Ragumani of Khongman Okram Chuthek under Irilbung police station in Imphal east.
She married with Moirangthem Santikumar son of Samugou of Moirang Kumabam Leikai December 2008 .
Her husband eloped another woman some days back while the families of the woman and her husband has fixed the date for marriage on May 27, Sunita left the house without knowing her whereabouts.
Parental family of Sunita were informed of her missing on May 22 last by the father of her husband Ragumani and her sister in-law Purnima who came to the house.
According to them Sunita failed to return home after going out from home on May 20 last.
They also convinced the parent and family of Sunita to effort jointly in finding out her without lodging report to the police.
In the meantime, the husband of Sunita, Shantikumar threatened the parental family of Sunita not to file any report with the police through mobile phone that if they happened to file report with the police, they will get Sunita as dead body.
Meanwhile, parental family said some time back Sunita unable to bear with the atrocities meted out by her husband had returned back and stayed for sometime to their home but she was taken back by the parent of husband.
The report of missing their daughter was filed yesterday by her mother yesterday alleging her husband, father in-law and his family behind the missing.
Police has also registered a case under section 346/419/494/495/34 of Moirang police station under FIR no 55(5) 2009 .
