Imphal, September 07 2011:
A massive landslide along the NH 37 at Awang Khul has cut off Imphal and Jiribam.
Sources said that the landslide began in the early morning of September 6 with mud and earth blocking the highway over a stretch of more than 60 feet.
Even though a dozer of BRTF is engaged in clearing the landslide, the incessant rain has been making it a difficult to complete the task at the earliest.
Meanwhile, more than 271 goods laden trucks have been left stranded along the NH 37 due to the massive landslide.
