Employees lock DRDA office

The employees of District Rural Development Agencies of Chandel district locked the DRDA office today demanding payment of the pending salaries for 17 months at the earliest .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, DRDA, Chandel, Assistant Project Officer, W Iboyaima said that the employees will take launch further agitation if the authority concerned fail to provide the salaries .
He explained that Chandel DRDA has a total of 339 employees and they have not been paid their salaries for the last 17 months .
He pointed out that a written complaint was also sent to the Chief Minister on People’s Day and added that the staff and employees locked the door of the DRDA office today demanding payment of the pending salaries.
