A candidate recommended by the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) to the post of Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Deputy Director has not been given appointment order .
After holding written test and personality test, MPSC recommended five candidates .
Then Tribal Affairs and Hills Principal Secretary SK Dev Burman was a member of the interview board which conducted personality test, informed a source .
Among the five candidates recommended by the board, one Ngasepam Pikeshwar Singh topped the list .
Notably, the post for TRI Deputy Director was unreserved.
MPSC recommended Pikeshwar's name for the post on January 8, 2015 .
Then Tribal Affairs and Hills Under Secretary M Kamala wrote to SP, CID (SB) on July 17 same year to carry out police verification as well as to Family Welfare Director for medical fitness test .
Whereas the candidate recommended by MPSC has not been given appointment order till date, the High Court of Manipur directed the authority concerned to complete the recruitment exam scheduled on July 6 within one month .
In case the respondent cannot complete the recruitment process within the deadline given, the respondent must comply with the MPSC's recommendation, the Court further directed.
