Biswajit inaugurates foundation training programme for newly recruited officers

A 45 days long foundation training programme for the newly recruited State civil/police service officers including SDCs and EOs was inaugurated today by Administrative Reform and Training Minister Thongam Biswajit at State Academy of Training, Takyelpat.
Speaking on the inaugural function, Minister Biswajit said that the role of a civil service officer is very important in bringing transformation in the State .
He further said that as political changes need good planning, they must be a good administrator keeping in their mind, the need of the State.
He observed that apart from foundation training, there is also a need to impart innovative training to the newly recruited officers to meet the changes in the world .
The Minister also asserted that the newly recruited officers should not be reluctant to join their respective posting places .
He exhorted them to work efficiently for the betterment of the state .
Director General of State Academy of Training, O Nabakishore said that foundation training is a necessary training for the newly recruited officers of the State .
He said that the State Academy of Training is going to provide numbers of trainings with an aim to impart necessary skills to meet necessary challenges .
He also urged all the newly recruited officers to work in coordination for satisfactory outcome.
Several resource persons spoke on the evolution of civil services, constitutional provisions, constitutitional arrangements and other related topics .
Altogether 84 officers are participating in the foundation training programme.
