Jiribam (Imphal East), February 19 2015:
Amid a series of agitation by various individuals and groups concerned on the lack of teachers at Jiribam sub-division, transfer of a teacher from Jiribam has irked AMSU District Committee Jiribam and the student body has said that they would visit every educational office to inspect Education Department offices, reports Jiri News Network.
Speaking to media persons at AMSU District Committee Jiribam head office, president of the committee Y Sanjib Singh said, "Transferring M Tombi Singh, teacher of Chhoto Bekra Bengali Primary School, Jiribam to Khewa Company Primary School is not acceptable.
When students are facing the adverse impacts of insufficient teachers at Jiribam sub-division, the order issued by Deputy Secretary of Education (S) M Mathang Singh on February 10 which notified the transfer of M Tombi Singh is highly condemnable" .
AMSU District Committee, Jiribam would inspect the offices of Education Department after 15 days to ascertain as to how many posted officials are present or absent, said Y Sanjib Singh.
