Senapati/Kangpokpi, February 19 2015:
Living up to her declaration and commitment for implementation of "Swachh Pariksha" or "Clean Examination" mission in Senapati District, Deputy Commissioner of Senapati Jacintha Lazarus on Wednesday pulled up several impersonators while inspecting the examination centres of High Leaving Certificate Examination and Higher Secondary Examination being conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) and Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) respectively in the district.
According to police sources, as many as 25 impersonators were found at Presidency College, Motbung centre of the Higher Secondary Examination on Wednesday.
The Deputy Commissioner pulled the impersonators and sent to Gammon-Sapormeina Police station.
Jacintha's mission for "Clean Examination" is basically a drive to coerce out unfair practice during examinations in Senapati district.
Visibly 'crestfallen' Deputy Commissioner said that it was very disheartening to find many cases of impersonation in such important examination.
She appealed to the people not to use unfair means during examinations and help decide the future of the students in a fair manner.
Gammon-Sapormeina Police Station had registered an FIR against those 25 impersonators under Section 419 of IPC (cheating by personation) .
The lady Deputy Commissioner, who also visited Kangpokpi Private Centre at KT College, Keithelmanbi and HM Higher Secondary School, was terrifically dumbfounded by the impersonation done even in the language paper.
