Imphal, February 19 2015:
Blaming Congress party for the non-realization of the popular demand for upgradation of Sadar Hills to a full fledged district till date, BJP Manipur Pradesh has vowed that it would work to carve out a separate Sadar Hills district in case BJP forms the State Government after the next Assembly election.
Speaking at a one-day awareness cum mass enrolment programme held today at Hengbung, Sadar Hills, BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba said that the State Government decided to create three separate districts namely; Bishnupur, Thoubal and Sadar Hills in 1974 .
While Bishnupur and Thoubal districts were created without much problem, Sadar Hills missed the opportunity.
At that time, there was little problem in declaring Sadar Hills as a full fledged district.

Saying that he was a part of the State Government which declared Thoubal and Bishnupur as new districts of Manipur in 1974, Chaoba maintained that setting up of a separate district administration for Sadar Hills would benefit not only people of the three Assembly segments located within Sadar Hills but all the people of Manipur.
While churning out volumes and volumes of propaganda that BJP is a communal party, Congress was consolidating their vote banks in the name of secularism.
But today all those vote banks have been dissipated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development oriented policies.
Muslim and Christian representatives have been allotted major portfolios by the Prime Minister and this is not a sign of BJP being a communal party, Chaoba asserted.
Congress party has been uprooted from Delhi and it would never return to National electoral politics of India, added Chaoba.
In case, a BJP Government can be set up in Manipur, no efforts would be spared to take over Loktak Hydroelectric Project in order to address the power crisis of Manipur.
There is no sign of effective administration in any part of the State after huge amounts of fund sanctioned for development of transport infrastructure, health care facilities and education were misappropriated.
Manipur can make rapid strides on the path of development only when graft practices are checked effectively, Chaoba asserted.
Contrary to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is no indication of development in the three Assembly segments of Sadar Hills.
Nonetheless, Ministers elected from the three Assembly segments would be certainly very rich.
He called upon the gathering to elect BJP candidates in all the 24 seats of Sadar Hills ADC for which election would be held shortly.
He also appealed to all the electorate of Manipur to enrol themselves in BJP.
Speaking at the gathering which was presided by BJP Manipur Pradesh executive member C Doungel, BJP National vice-president (Tribal Morcha) Haokholet Kipgen said that BJP has just embarked on a new journey at least in the hill districts of Manipur.
However, the propaganda that BJP is a communal party has no basis.
The party respects all religions and this was shown recently by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary M Ashnikumar and core committee member Prof S Tiken also spoke at the gathering.
