ZB Assembly
The Zeliangrong Baudi, Assam Manipur & Nagaland (ZB, AMN) will hold its 6th Dimki (Assembly) on October 24 at Longmai village, Tamenglong district.
ZB asked all the federating State units, subordinates units, frontal organizations and well wishers to attend the Dimki.
AR saves snake bite victim
26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided medical assistance to a victim of snake bite at Adhoc hospital, Pallel.
PRO of IGAR (S) said in a statement that at around 11.30 am today, the victim Welson (27) of Pallel village, was rushed to 26 Sector Assam Rifles Hospital.
Senior Medical Officer, 26 Sector Assam Rifles examined and treated individual with anti snake venom medicines.
After providing the medication, the individual was further referred to civil hospital for further continuous treatment.
Sawmill reduced to cinders
A saw mill was razed to the ground after an accidental fire broke out tonight at Charhajare, Sadar Hills.
The incident occurred tonight around 8.10.The fire was suspected to originate from electric short circuit.
No human casualty has been reported, according to reports received here.
FGN clarifies
Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Zeliangrong Region clarified that there is no 'Midan Peyu' in Zeliangrong region other than the 'care-take Midan Peyu.' In a statement, Dinbui Gonmei, caretaker, Midan Peyu, ZR, NNC, FGN said there is no changing of chaplee (finance dept) in Zeliangrong region, NNC/FGN.
It also said that the statement issued by the so called Midan Peyu in TSE on Sept 14 was false and baseless.
Legal awareness
District Legal Services Authority, Imphal West and All Manipur Nupi Marup jointly organised a legal awareness programme at Ibotonsana Girls' Hr Sec School today.
The programme was attended by RK Memcha Devi, CJM, Imphal West; Kh Somola Devi, principal of IGHSS; Ng Tejkumar, Director, Prosecution and Ajitkumar Mutum, Asst Public Prosecutor as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
MNF files FIR
The main opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) filed FIR against former Minister of State Lal Thanzara asking the State anti-graft agency to launch probe into the resigned minister over conflict of interest case.
The MNF Legal Board Chairman, J Lalremruata Hmar on Tuesday filed FIR with Corruption Bureau (ACB) against Lal Thanzara.
Petrol
All Manipur School Students Transporters' Association will distribute petrol to students transporters at Bakliwal Enterprises, North AOC tomorrow.
Although Imphal-Jiribam highway has been restored, fuel oil including is still rationed at Imphal following prolonged suspension of shipping due to landslides on Imphal-Dimapur highway and break down of Barak bridge.
KNLF/KNO chief clarifies
The chief of army staff of the KNLF/KNO, Tilthang Khongsai has in a statement issued to the press said that the order terminating their finance secretary Seikhopao Khongsai which was carried in some local dailies was without the sanction of the outfit's cabinet and instead declared that their General Secretary Lalmoi Haokip and his accomplice Kolphe have been terminated for their anti-party activities.
