Pension given to differently-abled people

The 20th foundation day of International Handicapped Welfare Mission Manipur was observed on Tuesday where the 4th Khomdram Angou Memorial Bravery Incentive Award 2015 was distributed at Gandhi Memorial Hall.
During the function MLA K Sarat distributed pension amount to 202 differently- abled persons for the second time.
The 4th Khomdram Angou Memorial Bravery Incentive Award 2015 was conferred to Thangjam Joykumar, Konthoujam Kiranmala, Laishram Santidas and Yumnam Ongbi Ayingbi.
Konthoujam constituency MLA K Sarat and the 'Father of Handicapped', Padmashri L Nabakishore attended the function as chief guest and president respectively while Social Welfare Department Deputy Director Th Joychandra, AMWJU president Wangkhemcha Shyamjai, UCM secretary general YK Dhiren and Moidangpok GP Pradhan Th Gambhir Meetei were the guests of honour.
K Sarat said that people should love and take care of all persons with disability since helping needy people will bring development in the society.
Wangkhemcha Shyamjai said that doctors in Manipur are treating patients at their own residences by charging towering fee to build big buildings and buy luxurious cars.
People here own cars that cost up to Rs 35 lakh, but they lack the feeling of helping physically challenged people, said Shyamjai while adding that the plight of the handicapped people will be focused in media though he cannot help them monetarily.
