Imphal, October 27 2014:
The State Vigilance Commission has recommended departmental enquiry against an employee of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry dept for bigamy.
A source said that the particular employee, a Field Assistant, got married in 1975 and sired three sons and a daughter with his first wife before he married another woman in 1998 .
Following the employee's confession of having two spouses before the Commission in violation of Rule 21 of the Civil Service Conduct Rules, 1964, the Commission has recommended departmental enquiry in order to justify appropriate action, the source added.
