Vigilance Week observance programme was inaugurated today at the Secretariat Conference Hall under the aegis of the State Home Department.
The week-long programme was inaugurated by Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga.
Principal Secretaries, Commissioners and other officials of the State Secretariat attended the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga urged all officials to strive to bring about integrity and transparency in all spheres of their activities and to work unstintingly for eradication of corruption.
He also urged the officials to discharge duties conscientiously, without any fear or favour.
The officials present including the Chief Secretary also took a collective pledge on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), ACB, Imphal Branch will organise workshops/lectures/seminars on Oct 29 at CBI office, Lamphelpat in connection with Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme 'Combating corruption - Technology as an enabler,' according to a CBI press release.
