NESO general secretary, who is presently at Imphal in connection with the swearing in ceremony of the new office bearers of AMSU, had also interacted with other social organisations fighting for withdrawal of Disturbed Area Act and Armed Forces Special Powers Act in view of rampant human rights violation by security personnel.
Lotha said that if India really claims North East to be a part of the subcontinent, then it must make an efforts to win over the people of the region through love and motivation and not by force and oppression.
