The Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) has prohibited chewing of pan, tobacco, smoking or use of other intoxicants in the hospital premises.
A press release issued by Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS, instructed the Manipur Security Services to properly screen the patient party or visitors who enter the gates of the wards.
If anyone is found chewing pan, tobacco, smoking or using any intoxicants, a fine will be imposed under Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003, Prof N Sanjib Singh warned.
