World Vision India donates fowler, paediatric beds to RIMS

Imphal, December 21 2021:
World Vision India has donated 20 hospital semi fowler bed (ABS panels) with mattresses, pillows, bedsheets and pillow covers along with five paediatric beds to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) today.
The beds and other items were handed over to Professor A Santa Singh, Director, RIMS by Asosii Loli, programme manager of World Vision India, Imphal West district in the presence of Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS and other officials during a simple function held today.
Speaking on the occasion, Asosii Loli stated that World Vision India has been supporting in strengthening the Government health care facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing various medical equipment and kits.
He further stated that World Vision India, Imphal West Area Programme has also earlier donated oxygen concentrators, PPE kits and other medical kits to RIMS, JNIMS and District Hospital Chandel.
The equipment donated are focused to all the North Eastern States of India as this part of the country has not been reached adequately in terms of infrastructure and accessibility unlike other mainland states of the country as a result of which the people of this region has been facing a lot of difficulties in treatment and proper care during the difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic.
Professor A Santa Singh expressed gratitude to World Vision India for the generous acts at times of need.
He also further stated that he is looking forward to more partnerships and collaborations in future.
