CRPF units dedicate waiting shed, distribute water tanks

109 Battalion CRPF of Manipur & Nagaland Sector organised a eivic action programme on Tuesday during which water storage tanks were distributed to Song Song villagers in Senapati district.
A CRPF released informed that second-in command Sandeep distributed the water storage tanks to the needy persons of the village in the presence of RPSF commandant (Retd) D Lowli, ,SDO Mao Derick, B/33 AR major Nikhil, SDPO Mao'P Longpignao, SHO Mao Jonah Raphuba Chawang, 109 Bn CRPF DC Parvinder Kaur, AC Vishal Chandm, Inspector/GD William Seiveinii and other officers and personnel of 109 Bn.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep affirmed that primary duty of the CRPF is to take care of needy persons in the society.
The unabridged support of the public has helped the CRPF to maintain peace and stability in the long disturbed and militancy prone state, he noted and conveyed that the CRPF has always stood and will remain committed for the good cause of the residents of Manipur in general and Mao in particular in harbouring a tranquil society.
He also thanked the people for extending their support in organising the programme.
In another Civic Action Programme, CRPF 86 Bn of Manipur & Nagaland Sector MS Shekhawat under the supervision of commandant Mohd Yusuf, dedicated a passenger waiting shed on Tuesday at Marangjing Part-IV, under Noney district.
The waiting shed was handed over to the villagers keeping in view of the dire need of surrounding villages for transportation to Imphal or towards Jiribam/Tamenglong, said commandant Yusuf while addressing the gatherihg.
He also extended gratitude to the villagers for their active participation in their civic Action programme (CAP) and urged local villagers to make use of waiting shed in all seasons whether monsoon or summer.
He also assured that CRPF will conduct more such programmes in the interest of local villagers in near future so that the villagers could be benefitted and a good relation between the CRPF and the villagers could be promoted.
The programme was also attended by second-in-command 86 Bn CRPF Deepak Kumar, assistant commandant Danial L Hmar and other officers of 86 Bn CRPF, villagers along with its chairman.
The same CRPF unit also distributed water storage tanks (Sintex) at K Senam village under Kangpokpi district under its CAP 2020-21 as per the request of the villagers to address the problem of water scarcity in the lean season.
It is informed that commandant Mohd Yusuf considered an earlier request of villagers as prudent and accordingly a survey of the area was carried out with a view to extend imperative benefits to the needy area for worthy utilisation of government's grant meant for the purpose.
