RIMS bans chewing of tobacco

Imphal, December 21 2021:
RIMS hospital has notified that chewing of paan, tobacco, smoking or use of other intoxicants in the Hospital premises is strictly prohibited.
In an order issued by medical superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh, anyone found chewing paan and tobacco items, smoking or using other intoxicants in the Hospital will be imposed a fine as per the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003.The order further instructed that Manipur Security Services to properly screen the patient party or visitors at the entrance gates of the wards to prevent chewing or possessing paan.
